Aetos keeps your team synchronized by dispatching real-time alerts. When a work order is created, rescheduled, or updated with comments, the platform automatically determines which users are affected and dispatches instant notifications across multiple delivery channels.
Notification Delivery Channels
In-App Notifications: Alerts visible in your dashboard header under the notifications bell.
Push Notifications: Real-time pop-ups on mobile devices (received when accessing the dashboard via a mobile browser and allowing push alerts).
Email Alerts: Formatted email updates detailing assignments and deadlines.
Direct Assignments vs. Watching Observers
Aetos dispatches notifications based on your relationship to the work order:
1. Direct Assignments (The Performers)
Technicians assigned in the Assignees field receive direct notifications for:
New Assignments: Dispatched immediately when a work order is assigned to them.
Deadlines: Triggered on the start date or when a task becomes overdue.
Reschedules: Dispatched when a manager updates the Scheduled At or Due At dates.
2. Watching Observers (The Supervisors)
Supervisors or team members tagged in comments receive alerts for:
Status Updates: Notified when a technician moves a work order into In Progress or Completed.
Active Comments: Notified when a colleague posts an update or asks a question in the feed.
Comment Mentions and Tagging
When writing an update, users can use
@Mentions in the comment feed (e.g., typing@Username).Submitting a comment containing an
@mention automatically registers that user as an observer on the work order, triggering an instant notification to their inbox and mobile browser.
Customizing Your Notification Settings
Users can configure their notification preferences:
Click on Settings in the left navigation sidebar.
Click on the Notifications tab.
Locate the Work Orders card.
Toggle individual switches ON or OFF for each delivery channel (e.g., disable email alerts for reschedules, but keep push notifications ON).
Click Save. A green confirmation banner confirms your preferences were updated.
