When work orders include diagnostic assessment tables, technicians must submit specific operating metrics (such as voltages, pressures, or photos) for linked assets.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Configure Required Questions (Admin Setup)
Navigate to the Work Orders page from the left navigation sidebar.
Select your target work order and click the More actions button (⋯) in the top-right corner to open the Edit form.
Scroll to the Assessments card and click Add Assessment (or click the edit icon on an existing assessment table).
Select your target equipment from the Physical Assets multi-select dropdown.
In the Questions list, click Add Question:
Enter the parameter name in the Question Name field (e.g., "Refrigerant Pressure (PSI)").
Select the appropriate field type from the Answer Type dropdown.
Toggle the Required switch to ON (represented by a green toggle).
Click Save Assessment to close the card.
Click the SAVE button in the bottom edit bar. A green success banner confirms the configuration was updated.
Step 2: Record Diagnostics (Technician View)
Open your assigned Work Order detail panel.
Scroll to the Assessments card. Required question columns are labeled with a red asterisk
*.Input the measurements (such as numbers, pass/fail choices, or photo uploads) inside every cell in the required columns.
Note: The grid generates one row for every linked asset. Technicians must record an answer in every row for a required question column.
The system automatically saves your answers as you type or upload files in the cells.
Step 3: Complete the Work Order
Click the Status dropdown badge in the header of the details panel.
Select Completed from the menu.
The Validation Gate:
If required cells remain blank: An alert dialog appears: "Cannot complete work order. Required assessment questions remain unanswered. Please complete the assessment grid before signing off." The empty table inputs are highlighted in red. You must go back, input the missing data, and select Completed again.
If all required cells are filled: The status badge immediately updates to Completed in green.
