Work Orders define the scope of physical maintenance, repairs, or inspections. They specify the location of the work, link relevant assets, detail step-by-step tasks, and delegate responsibilities to technicians.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Navigate to the Work Orders page from the left navigation sidebar.
Click the + button in the top-right corner of the table. This opens the New Work Order form.
Enter a descriptive title in the Title field (e.g., "Quarterly Boiler HVAC Inspection").
Enter detailed guidelines or safety warnings in the Description text editor.
Select a classification category from the Maintenance Type dropdown (e.g., Preventive, Reactive, Inspection).
Select the physical location from the Location dropdown.
Select the physical equipment from the Assets multi-select field (this list is automatically filtered to show only assets belonging to your chosen Location).
Select the severity level from the Priority dropdown (Low, Medium, High, Critical).
Scroll to the Tasks card and click Add Section to create a checklist group.
Click Add Task inside your section to create individual checklist tasks:
Enter the task instructions in the text box.
Toggle the Required switch to ON if the technician must check off this task before the work order can be completed.
Toggle Sequential Execution to ON if the technician must complete tasks strictly in chronological order.
Scroll to the Assignments section:
Select overseeing personnel in the Supervisors dropdown.
Select technicians in the Assignees dropdown. (You can select multiple assignees).
Configure date parameters in the Schedule section:
Select the planned start time in the Scheduled At date picker.
Select the deadline in the Due At date picker.
Click the SAVE button in the bottom edit bar.
A green success banner confirms the work order was created, and you will be redirected to the main Work Orders table.
