Aetos provides a seamless visual connection between your physical assets and maintenance tasks so technicians can instantly access repair checklists, log labor hours, and answer diagnostics directly from the virtual 3D environment.
Critical Concept: Linkage by Association
In the database, Work Orders link to Assets via the Asset Selection field. You do NOT physically attach a work order tag to an asset tag pin.
Work orders and procedures can either:
Appear in nested lists directly inside an Asset's Detail Panel when that asset is linked to the work order.
Have their own separate, dedicated Work Order Pins inside the 3D scan, allowing technicians to locate active maintenance tasks visually.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: View Active Tasks on an Asset Card
Click any asset tag inside your 3D scan or select it from your list.
In the asset detail panel, scroll to the Work Orders or Procedures sections.
The panel displays all active or recurring tasks where this specific asset is selected.
If Aetos Integrations are active: Any synchronized third-party work orders will also display here automatically under their own sections.
Step 2: Create a New Work Order Directly from an Asset
To immediately associate a new task with equipment:
Open the target asset's detail panel.
Scroll to the Work Orders or Procedures sections and click the + button (Add).
This opens the New Work Order form with your active asset pre-selected in the Assets dropdown.
Complete the form and click SAVE.
Step 3: Position a Work Order on the Scan (Wrench Pins)
If you want the work order to have its own visible pin (which uses a wrench icon, distinct from the circular asset tag) so technicians know exactly where to perform the task:
Open your target Work Order in Edit mode (or create a new one).
Locate the Position section on the form.
Click Place in Scan.
Move your mouse inside the 3D scan and click the physical spot where the task must occur.
Click SAVE in the bottom edit bar.
A green success banner confirms the work order was updated, and a Wrench Pin representing the work order immediately renders in the 3D scan.
