The Left-Hand Navigation Panel
The navigation panel runs along the left side of the application and is your primary way to move between sections of the platform. The items visible to you depend on your organization's enabled features and your user role — not every item listed here will appear for every user.
Expanding and Collapsing the Panel
The navigation panel can be expanded to show icons with text labels, or collapsed to show icons only. Click your profile initials at the bottom of the panel to toggle between the two states. The application remembers your preference between sessions. In collapsed mode, hovering over any icon displays a tooltip with the item name.
Navigation Items
At the very top of the panel you will always find:
Organization Selector — Switch between organizations if your account belongs to more than one.
Universal Search — Search across all content types from a single dialog. For more information, see the Universal Search article.
The main section of the panel contains the primary feature areas:
Dashboard — Your home screen and starting point when you log in.
Assets — View and manage all physical equipment and asset records in your organization.
Parts Inventory — Manage spare parts and inventory (displayed when enabled).
Work Orders — Create and manage maintenance work orders (displayed when enabled).
Procedures — Access and run operational procedures (displayed when enabled).
Training — Access courses and track learner progress. This item expands to show sub-sections: My Courses, All Courses, and Progress (displayed when enabled).
Reports — View and generate reports based on your available report types and permissions.
Files — Upload and manage files and document attachments across your organization.
Locations — Browse and manage your physical buildings and facilities.
Scans — Access 3D location scans for your buildings and facilities.
At the bottom of the panel:
Administration — Manage users and application settings. Visible to Building Admin roles and above.
Help — Open the Help Center to access documentation and support articles.
Profile — View your user profile and toggle the navigation panel between expanded and collapsed.
Navigating Aetos Modules
Below is a brief overview of our modules, each with its own dedicated articles in the Help Center for more detailed guidance.
Assets
The Assets section displays all physical equipment and asset records in a filterable, sortable table. Click any asset to open its detail view, where you can update information, review linked work orders, and manage verification status. For detailed guidance on working with assets, see the Assets articles in the Help Center.
Work Orders and Procedures
Work Orders and Procedures each have their own table view listing all records available to you. From the table you can create new records, apply filters, and open individual items to view steps, assignments, status, and history. For step-by-step guidance, see the Work Orders and Procedures articles in the Help Center.
Training
The Training section is divided into three areas, accessible from the expandable Training item in the navigation panel:
My Courses — Courses assigned to you, along with your current progress and due dates.
All Courses — The full course library for your organization (available to certain roles).
Progress — A team-wide view of learner completion and assignment progress, available to Building Admin roles and above.
For more information on creating and managing training content, see the Training articles in the Help Center.
Locations
Here you can find all scans associated with your buildings and facilities. Opening a scan lets you explore the space visually, locate assets within the environment, and navigate between floors. For a full walkthrough of the scan interface, see the How to Navigate a Location Scan article.
Scans
Scans pull all the functionality of Aetos into one immersive view. Within a scan, users can see their digital environments, access the Asset panel, and interact with a location as needed.
Scans are also the base of all Training courses and can be used as primary execution layer for Work Orders and Procedures.
