What Are Notifications?
Notifications are a feature on the Aetos platform that allows management teams to stay in-the-know and connected to their facility and team members.
Similar to those red dots on your cell phone, Notifications are used to bring attention to any new activity on an asset, conversation, or status change, and can be sent via email, push, or SMS.
How Do They Work with Aetos?
Our Notifications are designed to support you in your communication and monitoring needs.
Customize the timing and method of receiving notifications about activity within Aetos: they can be sent via SMS, push notifications (requires browser notification permissions), and email to stay current even while you are busy with other tasks.
These notifications can be adjusted or turned off per the user’s preference. While using the platform, real-time notifications and alerts are streamed to the browser.
Receive direct notification messages for:
-
A new work order assigned to you
-
Assigned work order due today
-
Work order that is overdue
-
Assigned work order changes
-
Tagged comments or mentions
-
Changes made to assets
NOTE: If you integrate wireless sensors with Aetos, you can also receive notifications for when data readings on a given asset/equipment fall out of a range or reach a certain threshold, granting better monitoring and visibility into your operations.
Tips for Notifications
Try the following tips to ensure you're getting the most out of Notifications:
- Use Notifications to monitor the status of work orders and comment threads.
- For Push Notifications, ensure browser-based notifications are not blocked.
- For SMS Notifications, ensure the user’s phone number is correct in their profile.
- Deploy and connect wireless sensors to enable better asset monitoring and management.
