Modals allow users to interact with the scan while taking the course. There are two types of Modals– Walk Through and Question.
Modal Type 2: Question
Question Modals are designed to check user understanding of the information that has been taught throughout the chapter.
After selecting a Question Modal, four question types will be displayed: Sort, Multiple Choice, Select All Correct, and True/False.
Examples of Question Types
- Sort: This allows users to display their understanding of the order in which which a process takes place, or to sort a to-do list by priority level based on the importance or urgency of a list of tasks.
- Multiple Choice: This allows users to be tested on simple recall of facts, as well as higher-order thinking skills such as analysis and evaluation. This is a very versatile question type when evaluating user knowledge.
- Select All Correct: This question type encourages users to think critically and carefully consider all aspects of the question before selecting their answers. This is best used when there are multiple correct solutions to a given problem.
- True/False: This question type is best for binary choices and straightforward concepts where the correct answer can be clearly determined as either true or false.
Apart from these four question types, any question has the ability to have images, videos, and audio files attached. These can be used, for example, to have users visually identify an element and name it.
